1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and StudyStriide ("we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the StudyStriide iOS application and related services (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial study and learning. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by law.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate any law or the rights of others;
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our systems;
- Generate, solicit, or distribute objectionable, abusive, or harmful content through the AI features.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. AI-Generated Content
StudyStriide uses AI to generate tutoring responses, questions, summaries, and other study material. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. It is provided for study assistance only and is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying important information independently.
If you encounter objectionable AI-generated content, you can report it directly in the App (long-press a tutor message, or Settings → Report a Concern). We review reports and act on content that violates these Terms.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the study materials and content you upload ("User Content"). You grant us a limited license to process and store your User Content solely to provide the App's features to you — including having it processed by our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate your tutoring — as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your User Content and for having the rights to use it.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
The App may offer auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock additional features. If you purchase a subscription, the following terms apply:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews at the then-current price for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
The subscription title, length, and price per period are shown in the App before you confirm any purchase. Purchases are also subject to Apple's terms and Apple's Standard EULA.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyStriide will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 8, 9, and 11) will survive.
11. Changes & Governing Law
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in-app. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where StudyStriide operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
